My First NYC Fashion Show

As a young girl, I always dreamed of sitting in the front row at New York Fashion Week.  The street style. The designers.  The glam.  I wanted to dress up in my best dress, throw six coats and a fur over it, and strut down the NYC streets into the runways tents.  This year, I decided to get a little closer to my goal and attend the Art Hearts Fashion New York Fashion Week Show.
If you have yet to be invited to a Fashion Week show, no worries.  A few events are open to the public and tickets are pretty cheap!  Art Hearts Fashion allows newer designers to put their collections onto a real runway, and exposes the public to new artists.  Three designers showcased their spring collections at the 9pm show I attended.  Fernando Alberto Atelier, Pineda Covalin, and (my personal favorite) Mr. Triple X.  Each show had a very different feel, the first two being more feminine and pretty, and the last being daring and sexy.
I would highly recommend that all of the fashion loving New Yorkers out there to hop on Google before the next fashion week and try to find shows that allow you to buy tickets and attend.  Its a fun night out and a great excuse to get glam.
So, what did I wear?  Due to the ridiculous cold that swept in just in time for Fashion Week, I slipped into my favorite Khombu snow boots and threw on two jackets.  In order to make this outfit slightly more interesting, I put my longer peacoat underneath a blush leather jacket.  Got to love fun layers!  My scarf is J-Crew and jeans are from Zara.

Happy Shopping!
