Fall Shades: Red Velvet and Black

Finally, a little chill is in the air.  I love seeing everyone get into the season with their pictures picking pumpkins and apples, and doing all of my favorite fall activities.  Living in the city, I don't always get to make my way over to a farm. If you live in the city and are envious of your country friends, just remember. You can wear heels and strut down the pavement and you won't sink into the ground.
These suede black heels are the perfect city staple, and reminded me why city fashion is the most fun.
For this simple outfit of the day, I grabbed my favorite velvet jacket from Macy's and threw it over a black Marshall's romper.  I love the mix of deep red and black tones in my fall outfits lately.  Today was a little too chilly to wear the romper on its own, so I tossed on some black leggings underneath to warm it up.
If you are a vintage lover, like myself, and you feel like your outfit doesn't pack enough old-school punch just add a red lip.  This classic 1950s staple takes any outfit back a few eras.
I topped everything off with my all time favorite scarf from Old Navy.  It is crazy affordable and I cannot possibly explain how heavy and warm it is.  I was nervous to order from Old Navy, because I thought their scarves might end up being a little flimsy, but this beyond impressed me.  I wear it constantly during the colder months.
I loved seeing these red berries lining the streets in Hoboken.  It made me feel surrounded by fall.
There's that 1950s red lip!  On my eyes I just smoked out a few brown shades in my crease and lined my eyes with a chocolate colored liquid liner.
Happy Shopping!
